Mari Kolbeinson

Mari Kolbeinson (b. 1989) is a Stavanger-based visual artist working across painting, installation, and sculpture. She holds a Master’s degree from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design (2015) and a BA in Fine Arts (hons) from Kingston University, London (2012). Kolbeinson has exhibited works at Stavanger Art Museum, Kunsthall Stavanger, Hi10, Studio17, Vestlandsutstillingen, Rogaland Kunstsenter, and Castor Gallery in London. Since 2019, she has co-led the collaborative project Skaus alongside artists Håvard Sagen and Markus Bråten. Skaus has presented work at the International Studio and Curatorial Program (New York), the Oslo Architecture Triennale: Mission Neighborhood, Rogaland Kunstsenter, and the development lot near TOU. Kolbeinson is currently head of the board of Norske billedkunstnere – Rogaland (NBK-R).
