Kristin Velle-George (b. 1977) is a Stavanger-based visual artist with an MFA from the Bergen Academy of Art and Design. Her practice is grounded in drawing as a way of thinking through touch and movement. In recent years, she has extended this investigation into three dimensions through ceramics, exploring the relationship between mark-making, materiality and spatial form.
Operating between intuitive process and structural intention, her work engages with a poetics of form that resists resolution. Sculptural and drawn elements intersect in open systems where form evolves through rhythm, texture, and material behaviour. Tensions between clarity and ambiguity, control and emergence come into play throughout the work.
Velle-George is based at Tou Atelierhus. She has exhibited at institutions including Sandnes Kunstforening, Rogaland Kunstsenter, Sølvberget Galleri, Ølhallene at Tou, Trondhjems Kunstforening and USF Verftet, and has completed a permanent commission for Finansparken in Stavanger.
