I live and work in Stavanger, Norway. From 1993 to 1997, I studied at Tobias School of Art in England, where I received my diploma in art therapy. I worked in this field until 2013, primarily supporting children and young adults. Alongside my therapeutic work, I maintained an active artistic practice, with a primary focus on developing pastel painting as my medium of expression.

My work explores how landscapes shape our identity, sense of connection, and feeling of security. Drawing from personal stories and lived experience, I create pastel paintings that arise in the meeting between memory and mood, often revealing quiet idylls. Through abstraction, I move beyond the specific to the universal, allowing my imagery to transcend particular places. Central to my work is a desire to look past human intervention in nature, reclaiming views of untouched landscapes and dissolving the boundaries of time. Nature’s ancient forms—shaped over millennia—evoke long timelines and connect our brief existence to those who came before us.

The ethereal, dreamlike qualities of my work aim to convey a sense of timelessness. With a poetic and vibrant use of color, I invite the viewer into a space where the outer world and inner reflection gently converge.
