Ingeborg Kvame (b. 1978) is a visual artist based in Stavanger, Norway. She holds a BA in Fine Art from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, and works across drawing, printmaking and textiles. Her practice is rooted in a strong sense of craftsmanship and explores transitional states in nature. By juxtaposing light and dark, stability and fragility, life and decay, she creates works that investigate materiality, space and optical shifts. Kvame’s work often combines traditional techniques with a tactile, physical presence in the room. She has exhibited at institutions such as Høstutstillingen, Tegnerforbundet, Vestfold Kunstsenter, Norske Grafikere, Stavanger Art Museum, Rogaland Kunstsenter and Kunsthall Stavanger.
