David Lamignan Larsen (b. 1981) works across video, painting, drawing, sound, performance, photography, print, ink and design. His practice began with the question of identity and the feeling of being in between cultures, growing up with roots in both Nigeria and Norway. Experiences of displacement and belonging continue to shape his work, often with irony, humour and storytelling at the core.

Spirituality and movement play an important role in his practice. As an active practitioner and instructor of Qwan Ki Do and Tâm Khi Tê/Qi Gong, he brings elements of balance, energy and embodied awareness into his art, especially through performance.

Lamignan explores identity not only through his own story but also in dialogue with others who navigate similar shifts, whether across continents or between countryside and city. His works often take form through portraiture, blind drawings, video and collaborative projects that reflect on culture and place. He has exhibited in Norway, Sweden, Germany and the U.S.A, and is currently working on a large-scale commission together with artist Linda Lamignan. Based in Copenhagen, he is part of the Stasjon K collective and also teaches in Art, Design and Architecture at Bergeland VGS.
