Anette Gellein (they/them) works at the intersection of visual art and film, often circling around themes such as power, politics, sexuality, gender, and emotion. They hold a bachelor’s degree from the Nordland College of Art and Film in Kabelvåg and a master’s degree from the Glasgow School of Art.

Their works have been shown nationally and internationally, including at Kunsthall Oslo, the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers in Toronto, Galleri Opdahl, and Tromsø Kunstforening. In 2025, they are participating in Artists’ Film International: Dream States, curated by Forma in collaboration with sixteen art organizations presenting the program worldwide. In 2026, they will have a solo exhibition at Kunsthall Stavanger.
